Welcome to Island Food & Grills

Founded in 2015 by Jerome, Island Food & Grills began as a small family dream to bring authentic Caribbean flavors to Brantford, Ontario. What started as a passion project has grown into one of the region's most beloved Caribbean restaurants.

Our journey began in a small kitchen with traditional family recipes passed down through generations. Today, we continue to honor those traditions while embracing modern culinary techniques to create unforgettable dining experiences.

Jerome - Caribbean Food Ambassador

Born and raised in Jamaica, Jerome grew up surrounded by the vibrant flavors and rich culinary traditions of the Caribbean. His grandmother's kitchen was his first classroom, where he learned the art of Caribbean cooking from a young age.

After moving to Canada in 2008, Jerome noticed a lack of authentic Caribbean cuisine in Brantford. Driven by his passion for sharing his culture through food, he started Island Food & Grills with a simple mission: to bring genuine Caribbean flavors to Ontario.

The Beginning

Island Food & Grills opens its doors in a small location on Colborne Street, serving authentic Caribbean dishes to Brantford residents.

We expand our restaurant to accommodate growing demand, adding more seating and expanding our kitchen facilities.

Catering Services Launch

We introduce professional catering services, bringing Caribbean flavors to weddings, corporate events, and celebrations across Ontario.
